Njut av en hel dag med forsränning längs Mamoni River, närmsta vattentäventyr till Panama City, bara 1,5 timmar öster om staden. Floden var banbrytande för forsränning och kajakpaddling i januari 1998. Med måttliga till intensiva forsar når Mamoni-floden sin högsta vattennivå i november, vid den högsta delen av regnsäsongen och den lägsta vattennivån i maj-april vid slutet av torrperioden.

What To Expect

Gästerna hämtar upp senast kl. 07.00 i Panama City. Anländer till startpunkten en och en halv timme senare för att börja forsränna runt 9:30. Floden är klassificerad som klass III-IV (måttlig till intensiv). Det finns ett par klass V-forsar som vi skulle vandra av säkerhetsskäl. Bland dem, ett vackert vattenfall.

Flottarna kommer att plockas beroende på vattennivån. Mindre 11-tumsflottar och ankar (uppblåsbara kajaker) från december till februari, ankar från mars till april och mindre flottar och ankar från maj till juni.

Gruppen bör anlända till avhämtningszonen cirka 15:30 och vara tillbaka vid den ursprungliga upphämtningsplatsen cirka 17:30.

Great rafting will appeal to beginners and experienced!

Excellent rafting - beautiful to float down the river and the only way to see the jungle but also some real adrenaline inducing rapids. I’m experienced but it was my brother and nephews first time and we all enjoyed it. Compares very well with rafting I have done anywhere!

Javier was a fantastic guide on an awesome river!

Rafting class IV rapids in the middle of the jungle was made possible by Javier and Adventures Panama. I also got to go canyoning with the company and cant wait to go on another adventure with them!

Adventures Panama Mamoni River Trip Rocks!

We had an amazing experience on the Mamoni River with Adventures Panama. This is not the lazy river ride at Disneyland so prepare yourself for a real wilderness experience. The water levels during our trip down the river made for a enjoyable trip with a couple really big rapids and a few others that were too dangerous to attempt. The guides were very experienced and checked out the rapids ahead of time to ensure no trees or other hazards were present before we took the boat down. A few places we had to walk around and over some really interesting rock formations in order to get around the more dangerous rapids. During the quiet stretches of the river we were able to spot lots of wildlife including, sloths, howler monkeys, egrets, heron's and caiman. There is no better way to see Panamanian wildlife than by rafting as there were no other people around as we were going down the river. Lunch was provided on the bank, sandwiches and snacks which was perfect (the bread didn't get wet). During one stop we were able to do some cliff jumping which was pretty fun. If you are looking for a fun physical day trip out of Panama city and want to see some wildlife in the process raft the Mamoni!

A most amazing adventure. Javier picked us up at our hotel and we drove to the put in on the Mamoni River. We rode at least 2 dozen rapids, climbed around some dangerous ones and had a great lunch consisting of luncheon meat and cheeses so we could make our own plus fresh fruit to go with the lunches. After lunch we rafted several more rapids and were able to jump in the river and cool down all throughout this awesome trip... We saw monkeys, Toucans, lizards, bats and all kinds of jungle animals and of course the fauna and flora.... Check out Adventures Panama on Facebook for videos of many other rafters. When we return to Panama City, we will definitely do this rafting trip again. Thanks to Javier and his crew. They were top notch and wanted to ensure we had a safe but adventurous experience...
