Experience the beauty of Panama's Pacific coast during this 4-hour tour, starting next to the first set of locks of the Panama Canal Pacific side learning about the Panama Canal operations, considered one of the Wonders of modern engineering. Appreciate the PostPanaMax mega container carrier ships in their operations as you leave the port area and prepare to pass under the bridge of the Americas. On the way to open sea, you will navigate next to the Causeway of Amador with its marinas on one side and the Panama Canal buoys marking the shipping lanes on the other side. This part of the tour can take around 1 hour. From here you head to Panama Bay and depending on departure time chosen by you, you can either choose between a sunset cruise, a night cruise enjoying the views of Panama City skyline or even throwing the fishing lines with a quick stop at Taboga Island.

30 min - You'll get to see first hand the ship carriers in their cross from the Pacific side of the Panama Canal. While they cruise under the America's bridge you'll get to cruise right next to them, in the Canal's designated route.

3 hr - You'll get to see the anchorage of the Canal's at the Panama Bay while your guide will explain how its system works. While cruising the Panama Bay, you get to appreciate the magnificent city's skyline and, depending on the time of the day you wish to depart, enjoy the Panamanian sunshine or sunset. The Panama Bay is rich in several species throughout the year, as Spanish Mackerel, snapper, Mahi Mahi, Yellowfin Tuna and Tuna bonito. You get to fish no matter your level of expertise, as we will provide all equipment and the captain and deckhand will assist you.

30 min - If you would like to have a quick stop to get to explore the beautiful and historical Taboga island town, you get to do it in your half-day tour as well.

Half day, private, cruising, and fishing trip

We had a wonderful day of fishing with Gem charters! We highly recommend this trip. The captain and his mate are very professional, fun and shared a lot of information about Panama with us. The boat is immaculate, and perfectly maintained. We caught mahi, had fresh ceviche, and a beautiful sunset! Don’t miss this trip!

Great fishing with a great company!

We chose to fish with Gem Charters. The day was everything we could have hoped for and more! The captain and mate were so polite, knowledgeable and professional! We caught 2 nice Mahi, one of which they made us fresh Ceviche right there on the boat! Delicious!!! The boat is very nice and excellently kept. We felt very safe and had a nice sunset to follow us home that evening. We highly recommend Gem Charter!

Fun day on the water

The captain got us on some fish and kept us catching them at a slow but steady bite all day. The targeted species wasn’t biting but we were still able to take back a lot of meat for the grill.

Extraordinary Service!

We had an excellent day fishing with Jose. We caught a lot of fish and enjoyed a beautiful tour of the area. We found the service to be truly exceptional. For example, when my wife indicated that she was feeling sea sick, Jose flagged down the charter's sister ship and found her some medicine that quickly made her feel much better. We also enjoyed fresh ceviche and sashimi from the fish we caught. Eddie helped organize our day and was very helpful and professional. Eddie went above and beyond to help us when we had a challenging experience with our bank. Overall it was a great experience.
