Once in a lifetime experience!

Levy was amazing!!! He told us this was his favorite tour and I can see why. My boyfriend and I have done many tours and this is hands down our favorite tour EVER. The tribe is very welcoming and Levy as a guide makes you feel like you are apart of the tribe.
The tour starts off in a canoe and you are taken up the river. We then hiked about a mile to an amazing waterfall. This is a must do and the members of the tribe are there to help you. It is not difficult at all. We also swam in the the river / waterfall. Levy took amazing pictures of us throughout the hike and in the falls.
After the hike you then go back in the canoe where you meet the village of the Emberá. Everyone is so friendly and welcoming. It is so amazing to learn about their heritage and way of life. Levy did an excellent job translating for us as we do not speak Spanish. The tribe cooks you fresh fish caught from the river and it tastes sooooo good!! I also got a temporary tattoo free handed from the tribe members. After lunch we danced with the tribe and took a lot of photos! This is an experience I will never forget!! I recommend bringing some cash because the tribe has so many beautiful hand made pieces from rose wood, hand woven baskets, and hand beaded jewelry. Also don’t forget to bring cookies for the kids in the tribe! They are so appreciative and seeing them so happy brought a smile to our faces.
Please do not miss this opportunity to experience a simpler way of life. The money the tribe makes off the tour helps sustain their village. You will not be disappointed on this tour!
Beautiful experience

We really loved the trip on the river to the Embera village, see how they live and hear about their traditions and customs. It was a real experience and very authentic.
AMAZING! Definitely do this excursion!

Our tour guide Enrique Levy was amazing! He promptly picked us up and gave us a ton of information about panama on our way to the embera village. He brought us waters and ponchos and was always looking to do things that would enhance our experience. Once we got to the village he translated for us so we could really take in everything the tribe was telling us about their culture. The embera people were so welcoming. They greeted us and made us the most delicious lunch you will ever eat. Then they answered questions, offered temporary tattoos to anyone who wanted one, and showed us their crafts. After we did some shopping they showed us their traditional dances and music. We were invited to dance with them and be a part of it. At the end they gifted us their flower crowns and waved us off. It was an experience you do not want to miss. It was amazing! And if you can get enrique as your tour guide it will be even better!
Best part of Panama

This was an amazing experience. I met Levy who was my tour guy and he showed us and explained pretty much everything you would like to know about Panama. We met the leader of one of the tribes and they explained their culture, fed us, & danced for us. They showed us how they live and what they grow and eat. The canoe was hand made; the water was fresh and clear. The fruits were juicy and fresh. I even got a Hannah tattoo lol It was amazing best part was shopping jewelry that were hand made by them. I will definitely recommend this tour w/ Levy. Thank you Levy for your time and great experience.
Overpriced!

I would only recommend this because its a once in a lifetime experience and also supports the Embera tribe. However, the cost of this tour is way overpriced on just 3 hours of experience we had. We weren't even able to hike and swim on the river/falls because of the bad weather which is understandable due to our safety but I guess there should be at least a refund of a SMALL portion since we weren't able to experience the full tour.
