What To Expect
Chagres National Park
You will be picked up from your hotel or accommodation in downtown of Panama City and head to the Chagres river, one of the most important water sources for the Panama Canal an surrounded by dense jungle, there you will ride a canoe to go to visit an Embera indigenous community who will welcome you and invite you to learn about their culture in a conversation with one of the leaders of the community, this will be an special moment for you to ask them about their life style or whatever you are interested. You can also do a short walk around the village to see their houses and plants, finally enjoy a performance of traditional music and dances. After taking your time to buy handcrafts, a canoe will take you back to the car.

After 45 minutes drive down the Chagres river, a trip by boat to the Gatun Lake begins, the biggest and most important lake the Panama Canal, where we will share space with large ships during their transit through the Panama Canal.

Very nice tour, the boat ride along side huge ships was a great experience. We really enjoyed seeing, feeding and learning about the monkeys. We even got to see a crocodile & some sloths. The best part was learning about the Embera people, their culture and seeing them dance. Cesar was a very good guide, he was knowledgeable, courteous & made sure we enjoyed the tour. Thanks Cesar!
