What To Expect
Isla Pelicano
In our first stop we will visit between Isla Pelicano, Anmardub, Isla Perro Grande or Isla Perro Chico where we will enjoy its beautiful white sand beach and turquoise waters.

We will visit the Natural Pools, it is a sandbank in the middle of the sea with turquoise waters where you can enjoy the warm waters of the San Blas Islands in Panama

We will visit the famous Isla Perro, which has a sunken ship where you can enjoy snorkeling

Highlight of our Panama vacation.

Our party of six booked a private one-day tour and had an excellent experience. Because it was just us, we had some say in which islands to visit and how long to spend. These guys were very accommodating and made it a very personal experience. Because our main interest was snorkeling, they took us to specifically great spots.
We saw plenty of other tour boats that were group tours and we felt a little sorry for them... too crowded, and probably no "customization".
We could not have asked for more, and if/when we visit again, we will try to book with them.

1. The description here currently says that prices start at $165 per person, but we paid less than that for our *private* tour, so please reach out directly to the company to get your own quote. They are very responsive via WhatsApp, but email worked also.
2. The road trip is not as bad as some people say, just go with poor expectations and it will be OK! :-)
3. There are restrooms available at the boat launch site, but they are not free. Some of our party used them as changing rooms instead of dressing in swim suits at the hotel.

Great Tour Company for a Trip to Paradise

Guna Yala Explorer was super communicative, patient, and kind - we couldn't have picked a better company to take us to the incredibly beautiful San Blas Islands. We were a family of 5 (3 adults, 2 kids under 12) traveling around Panama. We researched several tour providers and ultimately decided on Guna Yala because they had great reviews and were easy to work with when we reached out. We had a wonderful trip and were happy we went with them.
We had lots of questions both before and right up to pick up. Guna Yala Explorer answered them all promptly and fully. On pick up day, they were prompt and even turned around when we had to go back to the hotel. Once we reached the bumpy road (the worst part of the journey), our driver was patient with our car sickness and was very kind. The kindness did not stop there - our boat guides were also fantastic. We spent time on a small island first and ate some lunch. The food was average and there were multiple options so even our pickier eaters could find something to eat. After plenty of free time, we went to a sandbar in the middle of the ocean and ended up on a larger island with a sunken ship for snorkeling. The two islands were both incredibly beautiful. As for amenities, both had bathrooms, beach volleyball, limited drinks, and lots of open space for play/relaxation in the sun or shade.
If there was a downside to our trip, it was the journey to the islands and back. This is no fault of Guna Yala Explorer but I mention it here so that people know - it is rough! It is a 3 hour drive to/from the ocean. This includes a very difficult road that feels like a rickety wooden roller coaster for about 80 minutes. Then there is a 30 minute boat ride. The boat is pretty smooth but it makes for a long journey. Once you arrive, however, the islands are so beautiful and worth the trip. There is no better guide to take you on this long journey than Guna Yala Explorer. We highly recommend them.

Excellent Tour.
They picked us up on time at 5:30 am at our Hotel.
The road is only for 4x4 cars with good drivers.
The service was very good, we visited 2 islands and the natural pool, lunch was fish with rice and coconut.
The islands are very beautiful, a dream worth knowing if you are on tourism in Panama.
Super recommended.

Excelente atención por parte de la agencia Guna Yala, cada isla que visitamos recibimos muy buen trato. Cumplió nuestras expectativas.
Pasamos dos noches en isla chichime, sus playas son hermosas, las cabañas lindas y sin duda hacen que sea toda una experiencia, hicimos amigos de diferentes nacionalidades y la comida es deliciosa. La tercera noche la pasamos en la isla Guarsidub en una cabaña sobre el mar, súper linda con la atención excelente del dueño de la isla quien cocina excelente.
Los tours nos encantaron, fueron a la piscina natural, isla perro chico e isla pelícano 1, cada una tiene su encanto.

È stato tutto perfetto. Pick up super puntuale, autista bravo, escursione ottima con sufficiente tempo su ogni isola. Le isole sono spettacolari. Il pranzo mi aspettavo molto meglio ma il resto è andato tutto bene ed è anche l'operatore meno caro quindi lo consiglio.
